Regular Payments (Standing Orders) |

This is a list in Journal Entry format of all the automatic payments - standing orders - you have set up. The push-button functions let you review and cancel your automatic payments.
The term "Standing Order" derives from the UK Banking facility of repeating a specified transaction at fixed intervals (usually monthly) according to your - the customer - specifications.
MoneyBox gives you a similar facility. Any item whose description field starts with "S/o " will be repeated on the same date each month. (Note that the characters "S" and "O" can be either upper or lower case.)
You can also specify a number between 1 and 52 immediately after the "S/o". "S/o1 " repeats the item every week, "S/o4 " repeats the item every four weeks, etc.
"S/o9", "S/o13 ", "S/o26 " and "S/o52 " repeat the item on the two-monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual calendar anniveraries instead of the exact week intervals.
When you come to the end of the year and start a new year's accounts, the system will carry on making the automatic entries on the correct dates in the new year.
To create a standing order, just add an account item in the normal way, but prefix the description with "S/o ". You can similarly change an existing item to create a standing order.
If you click
You can also cancel an "S/o" at any time by using the Change Item facility and removing the "S/o" prefix from the account item.
