All accounting items in the system consist of an amount, a description and a debit and credit reference.
You normally review items grouped together under a single account reference.
You can however view certain categories of items that are not grouped under the same account. In this case, the items are listed showing both their debit and credit references.
Journal Entry format shows the following information in date sequence starting with the first month of your accounting year.
Each line has the following fields:
Detail A/c Number of the Debit - "Goes to" - account.
Detail A/c Number of the Credit - "Comes From" - account.
Reference.
Date of the accounting item.
Description of the accounting item.
Amount of the accounting item.
Currency of the accounting item.
