Delete Item

This is where you can delete a highlighted line of the account display.

You will see the details of the item as the values displayed in each field.

Check the center of the Dialog. If you see the words LAST YEAR, you know that you are about to delete an item in last year's accounts instead of in this year.

This can happen when you are displaying last year's data, or when you are highlighting a last year item during account reconciliation.

It is perfectly OK to delete data directly in last year's accounts, just be careful that you don't do it by mistake!

Remember also that this may change the value of the Opening Balances from Last Year brought forward into this year.

When you confirm deletion, you will hear a high-pitched beep to tell you that the system has deleted this item.

The highlighted item will disappear from the display and the running balance of the account will be updated.
