This will set up Euros as your base currency, and will make sure the currencies of your various Bank, Charge, Supplier and Customer accounts are correctly set.

Click on Lists in the Menu items, then click on Foreign currency.

Now please carry out the following steps in sequence:

1.  If the list of currencies contains a Euro item other than as the first in the list (base currency), change the name of this item to the name of last year's base currency eg Sterling. (At the top of the right hand section of the dialog, there is a field to enter Currency Name)

If no Euro item exists in the list of currencies, click the New button to create a new currency with the same name as last year's base currency eg Sterling. Click the Whole Year button to set the correct exchange rate between this currency and the Euro

2.  Change the name of the first in the list of currencies to Euro.

3.  Click on the name of the currency you created or modified in step 1, eg Sterling.

Click the Use button. You will see the highlighted items flicker.
