Backing up your accounting information.
Automatic backup takes place when you quit MoneyBox - unless you click the Skip automatic backup button in the Quit dialog.
The automatic backup facility makes a copy of all the files for all the years of the account set being accessed to a directory you have pre-specified. For each account set, the automatic backup maintains a cycle of seven dated backup copies clearly labelled Backup AcSet Name Date. This means that if corrupted files are written to your backup, you can restore from an earlier backup.
Restoring accounting information.
When you click on the Restore selected year.. item in the Files menu, a dialog will appear showing you the directory containing the latest backup for the currently accessed account set.Having selected the backup set you wish to restore you will be asked to confirm the restore action. If you confirm the action, the account set will be restored from the selected backup. |
